    Best Installation, Setup, Deployment software

can we please create a list of the best free and non-free setup, installation and deployment applications available. i am specificaly interested in ones that will look at my vb6 application files and exe then build me a single selfextracting or installation file to distribute on application.

i have another question, im getting a lot of install and setup errors when trying to install my application on an XP machine when i have created the setup through P&D Wizard on a vista machine....is this normal?

You will never see a list of best installation packages and tools for politics will get into it. The closest you will get here is the list in the FAQ in the Application Deployment Forum, it will be missing plenty but it's a start.

    For PDW, Yes...

You have to understand PDW does not know anything about NT version OS's. You can fake your way thru it, but it is not advisable. Well not by me anyway...

PDW was created in 98, today is 2008. Do the math...
