In Oldham, a town less than five miles from where I live, large tracts of land have been marked as 'no go' for whites by the asian community.
In the last couple of days, a lad with 'learning disabilities' was beaten with bricks by youths and an old bloke was battered in the face with the flask he carried with his tea in.
Last week Oldham hit the headlines after Asian youths said they were creating "no-go zones" for white people because police were not responding to attacks on their communities.
Latest police figures have shown a record level of racist attacks in the town, with over 60 per cent of victims white.
Police and community leaders have admitted there is a problem among a minority but have denied there are "no-go zones".
A police spokeswoman said: "We are investigating a number of racist attacks which took place over the weekend in the Oldham and Chadderton areas.
"On Saturday a 76-year-old local man was walking along an access road when he was approached by an Asian male who demanded to know his address.
"The aggrieved refused and was then pushed by the offender and received facial injuries.
"However, it is not yet clear whether the injuries were as a result of him falling to the floor or being struck."
She said he was in hospital where he was awaiting surgery to fractured facial bones.
This is getting ridiculous. Very few things irritate me more than prejudice of any kind.
What kind of person would attack an old man as he walked home from the football? WHY???
I might become a vigilante.
Gentile or Jew,
O you who turn the wheel and look to windward,
Consider Phlebas, who was once handsome and tall as you...

And the whole point of the exercise was to draw attention to the fact the the Asians where victimised, now I bet the will be retaliation and even more (most likely inocent) Asians get assulted. I know if someone asulted a member of my family I wouldn't rest till I had vengence, via the law or any other method.
As a nation as whole though I feel it it getting more out of hand, serveral friends of mine have been attacked over recent years, serverly enough for then to go to hospital. And only the other day some cheeky little F****** bit me in a club.
I say we should all chill.

The Asians in Oldham were never being victimised in the first place. Apparently in 60% of all reported racial attacks, the victims were white - this was long before the Asians started marking out no-go zones.
Also, I believe the incident with the old man who was beaten with his coffee flask happened in Westwood - that's even nearer to your house isn't it?
