    Hey all. I don't see many 3D engines written in VB, so I figured you might like to check out an Image Of The Day from flipCode a few days ago:

    http://www.flipcode.com/cgi-bin/msg....rum=iotd&id=-1

    The guy used VB and DX8. Source code is available for download he says.

    Methinks I sense sarcasm...

    Actually, I got a VB engine up and running at around 33 FPS on an 8 meg ATI card, and a 550 overclocked P3. Then again, its clipped at 80m, with lots of fog, and the player was just a 4 triangle pyramid...

    writing software in C++ is like driving rivets into steel beam with a toothpick.
    writing haskell makes your life easier:
    reverse (p (6*9)) where p x|x==0=""|True=chr (48+z): p y where (y,z)=divMod x 13
    To throw away OOP for low level languages is myopia, to keep OOP is hyperopia. To throw away OOP for a high level language is insight.

    Terrain engines are nice and all, but I prefer to play God by not only making the world, but inhabiting it =).
