    Arrow Lock database file without password protection

    Is there a way to lock an .mdb file (all the time, not just runtime) so only my vb app can access it without making it password protected? I don't want the user to think he has the option to get into it, and I feel like a password prompt would set that pretense.

    No.....if someone has Access on their machine they can open any access database they want, and roam around to their heart's content.
