Something really strange is going on.
On a thread of mine i posted yesterday i'm trying to get into it to read the replies but it keeps crashing Internet Explorer if i do then my computer freezes. This has happened on 2 computers so far.
If anyones game can anyone get into it.
Subject is Files Transfer on page 2.

It aint IE 5.5 coz i just spent 1.5 hours downlaoding and installing it and it still crashes!
This is weird. Why just that thread?

Well I am using Win2000 IE 5.0 and it works for me..
try the security updates at www.windowsupdate.com

Is that the thread that has to do with Internet Transfer? I tried it on two computers, one with Win98SE + IE 5.0 (crash!) and one with Win98SE + IE 5.5 (crash!) it's not just you. Stupid BSOD! Well, I guess I won't be replying to that post anymore...

Hey whats up with your "REBOOT" link Midget? Maybe its somethingi like that....that crashed my WIn98SE....Just like that thread does...But they are both fine on Win2000

HEHE, my reboot link just goes to a page with the code <img src="c:/con/con"> It has somthing to do with unpatched versions of windows. It crashes certain 98 and 95 machines, but I don't know why.

Missed this...don't you just right click the link and click on Save Target As...
Perhaps, if we wanted John and James to see this, wouldn't this thread be better off in the Feedback Forums?

if you put it as a filename, unpatched versions of Windows will crash (usually BSoD). Something to do with the comm ports in DOS or some rubbish like that. Windows can't handle it and blows up. Unless you have the patch from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
