Anyone know how I can convert a MIDI file to a wav or mp3 file?
I don't mind if it's converted to wav first, because I can just convert it an MP3 file, or going straight from MIDI to MP3 is fine too.
Does anyone know of a program that will convert MIDIs to a different format? I see lots of programs that convert WAV > MP3 and vice versa, but no MIDI .
Thanks for any help.

I've done this before by opening sound recorder, and then open the midi file. Then record in sound recorder and press play in the midi file's program. It records it, but it's not very efficient.

Thanks for the help, MidgetsBro, but instead of using Sound Recorder, which, perhaps maybe I should have done, I used the mciSendString API function to record it instead .
Thanks for your idea as well.

Did the mciSendString API work? I never tried that. Your welcome for my idea... It's the least I can do for all the help you have given me

Recorded and saved to disk perfectly .
It sounded a little low, but when I put it on my portable I-Jam Mp3 Player, the sound was high enough, although, it did sound a little weird, like the bass and treble were turned low or somethin'. But what can you do? At least you can hear it and it does sound okay.
Now, as I've been doing with regular musik, I can listen to just plain musik, no words, while riding on the bus to go to skool .
