List box and tool tip text

Hi,

Is there any way to have a tool tip text appear ONLY
on the text that is wider than the list box, and NOT the
items in the list box that you can plainly see?

I have done something like this and although it is a bit nasty I just checked how many characters could fit on one line in the list box and checked that against the current line before showing the tool tip.

Sorry I should have also said there that I created my own tool tip class which included a form that simply displayed the text of the truncated line. I was not turning of the list box's actual too tip ............ big difference really
