Beginners
Morning,
Is there a place for beginners on this forum...Where beginners can help eachother to solve simple problems.
As one myself, i like being able to help others with simple problems that i have just overcome.
This prob makes no sense as the idea is to just get problems solved by anyone but it was just a thought!

Re: Beginners
your idea is nice, but still even us beginners need some advice from some experts..

Re: Beginners
I think this has been asked before here on forum feedback, and the answer was something along the lines that beginners are just as welcome to post in any of the subforums as anyone else. And thats the way it should be
Edit: Here's the thread I was thinking about.

Re: Beginners
Yer your probably right.
Just some times less experianced programmers seem to have a little more time to give for simpler problems as opposed to the experts who are in such demand through no fault of there own.
(I would just like to say i would be lost without the experts help)
Well have a nice day

Re: Beginners
Sorry, just one last thought...
It would be a great place for those more experianced but with little time, to quickly drop in and help out

Re: Beginners
Perhaps you could post threads with a [BEGINNERS ONLY] tagged in the title?

Hmm.
So on the one hand, You'd like to see more contributions from beginners who have alot of spare time, but on the other hand, you'd like to see more contributions from non-beginners with little spare time?

Re: Beginners
As has been rightly said above, if you want to answer questions, go for it.
Those of us who tend to answer questions had to start somewhere, and we are happy to see the "next generation" coming in - especially as it means we have more 'freedom' to focus on our specialist areas.
If we notice people trying to help, we typically let them get on with it - just yesterday there was a thread I could answer with a simple 1-line answer, but I waited while two relatively inexperienced helpers discussed it, and they ended up with what I would have posted (but several posts later).
Now they've done that, they will hopefully remember it for next time a similar question comes up, and continue learning (as well as helping) in that thread too.

In my opinion, our diversity is one of our biggest strengths.
