[2008] Start with a program?

Hiiii! Now i think i know alot of the basics in VB .net!

But i want to make a program but i don't know what!
I want make something usefull! or might a fun game anyway, something cool!

Does someone have any tips how im gonna start with ideas and then start with the program?

The most common answer to such a question is - find out if you 'need' something and make that application for yourself. Failing that you could always go for the usual - text editor, chat client, snake game, web browser, library management system, world peace.

One thing I do when looking for an idea is to find a post with an interesting idea, and some problems and see if I can then implement the idea and solve the problems. Just an idea.

Yeah generally anything without a database first and then one with a database second. Remember to complete each app though no matter how crappy you think it is otherwise you will have felt like you accomplished nothing after 5 half written programs.

Oh, does it work to make a chat program? via internet and that? ;D and make like a password so i can bee admin and that? :P

Anyway, i dont think i need anything other, might a web browser (done one yesterday in my friends house)

Bcuz i use FireFox here home, and i think my internet explorer is gone on my computer.

and the problem is with FireFox that its a bug to use it when i playing a game on internet! also in a game called snake in blip.se, there when i open a new window then sometimes it change the window so my snake window minimizing! and i often die then :/

Your Internet Explorer probably isn't "gone", it just isn't your default anymore. If you go Start > Run > iexplore, then IE should show itself again.

When i do it,
then i get an error

But anyway, i would like to make a own Web Browser later! because i would like to need a topmost function

problem with web browser i made yesterday, was when i get popup window, it opened with FireFox

i like FireFox more, but when i play my game i want to get to iexplore.

Anyway, my friend told me a guide with source code on this forum there windows popups worked with the program!

But i don't find the guide =/
