[RESOLVED] **weird**-Running forms in my app triggers installation of another program
Hi Guys,
I have a very weird problem on a clients pc. when I open forms in my app it somehow triggers an installation of a pastel accounting software. why is this happening? How can I fix it? please help

That happens basically if you have a software package like Office installed on the computer and it uses the Windows Installer to "Install on First use" indicator. Your app installs a component that that piece of software uses and when you use it the other software attempts to install itself since you have infact used the component.
Annoying but true...
This will also happen if you install your software on a system and it works perfectly. If you log on to windows as a new user the software will attempt to install itself when you run your software there also.

There is no fix that your software can do. The only remedy you have is either installing the software that is requesting to be installed or to find the registry keys that trigger the software to be installed when that object is used and remove them.
