    Bowling Commentary

The elitist are all over Obama about his bowling skills. However, they can't even report his score correctly. It is 47, not 37.

I have a feeling that Obama purposely played a bad bowling game so it would get on the news ... putting the Wright controversy one more step behind him.

A very smart move if that's the case. I'd give him props.

Have you considered that he may just be bad at bowling and the press, consisting of humans much like us, are simply glad to take comfort in knowing that anyone in the limelight is actually fallible, flawed and imperfect?

    I certainly haven't, that's just preposterous.

I don't know, the score just seems really really low.

In that case, I'm just glad you've never met me.

I once scored four perfect 10s. For the person in the next lane.

    Re: Bowling Commentary

How could anyone score a 37 in bowling? I can understand Mendhak playing badly, he probably wasn't all there, but a normal person? Incredible. I've gone bowling about a half dozen times in my life, and I've never even SEEN a score that low.

I guess it is supposed to give us a good feeling, like he is just another good old boy who likes bowling and beer. Whoop de-doo. But honestly, would you like a president who is great at bowling?

It's so funny that none of you realise that his bowling score is totally irrelevant to anything. The entire point of the exercise was to get people to talk about him, and it's obviously working. Props to his PR people.

Egg-zachary! I've never played a game that ended in a score with less than three digits...

You are aware that it wasn't an entire game. I think he had a 37 through 4 with a spare in the 5th, so if he bowled two gutter balls in the 6th, he still had 47. I know he he had 37 with a spare up.

Nope, in fact the only place I have every heard about this story was here in CC. Apparently it didn't get much press in the hinterlands.

I smell a conspiracy here. Can we get the Warren Commission to investigate how his score was so low? There is obviously something else going on here that we are missing.

Well, ridiculously low or high score will generate headlines over an average amateur score.

Obama is obviously not a pro bowler, so it's easier to get the low score.

It takes a pro to score that low. I knew a guy with two fingers who tried and couldn't score lower.
