Re: Grabbing Contents From A Third Party Website
Im doing similar stuff right now with YouTube. But im programming in Delphi.
Algo is simple.
Download the html, htm or php file that contains that info and open it.
Start searching for info you need. Look what tags are used and then start parsing for them to get data you need.
Also you must know when this data is updated. Is it daily or every week etc.
So you will know how often you must download the page again to parse it and display new info. If you dont update it and/or dont know how often its updated then user will get old/wrong info.
You should search in forums also with keyword: "parsing" and in VB the: MID$, LEFT$ and RIGHT$ are very handy for parsing.

Re: Grabbing Contents From A Third Party Website
Probably there are some ActiveX controls for HTML parsing but im doing all hard work by myself without any help of third party DLLs. The downloading, parsing, grabbing etc.
And yes in my YouTube videograbber im doing all this in one single button click.
Im using procedures and functions and calls to them are in ButtonClick event.
So YOU must do the same thing if you want this data to be available with single click . Code the functions and subs to do all that parsing etc and display it on some label for example. It's your choice.
You must remember one thing: you can't get this data without parsing this webpage. If parsing is unknown topic for you the i suggest you to search for simple examples.

If you need any further help then just ask.
