Question How to Integrate External optical keyboard with other windows application

    Hello,

I'm Ashwin and newly started in VB.net as a learner. I'm working on small task for my friends college project. He had developed one optical keyboard using LR matrix and want to integrate it with windows. He also wrote the code for accessing the ASCII values of optical keyboard in VB6. In VB he just accessing the ASCII keyboard values by using COM port component and getting the Values in Textbox control. Now he wants to integrate this keyboard output with another applications like MS-Word, Excel, notepad etc. When he connects his keyboard through COM port to the CPU, as normal PS2 keyboard the optical keyboard also want to work like the same. How I can integrate this functionality with other applications of Windows ? Can anybody knows how to do this.....? Please help me.

    Thanks.

    Ashwin.
