Resolved [RESOLVED] Crystal Reports Runtime Files

    Hi all!

    I urgently need advice.

I’m using Crystal Reports (Product 4.6.1.0 - CRW32 4.6.1.116) for Visual Basic for reports in an app developed using Visual Basic 6 Professional.

It is the first time that I’ve coded database connectivity and am not using any data access controls in the app. The database connectivity is done using ADO.

The installation package was created using both a customized version of PDW (which I know for a fact works 100%) as well as Visual Studio Installer. When running the app in debug mode all reports work 100%, yet after installing the app on a workstation everything works 100% except the reports. There are absolutely no error messages, the reports simply don't activate (or display).

I know I’m neglecting to deploy a file or files relevant to Crystal Reports, but which one? Any advice?

    Thanks in advance!

(PS: There is a duplicate of this thread in the Reporting forum.)

    Re: Crystal Reports Runtime Files

If your reports don't work then your installation package doesn't work 100%...
Advice... hmmmm... Since there are no merge modules for the version of Crystal report you are deploying (4.6), you will have to do some research by looking for a runtime.hlp file (if one exists in that version).

Re: [UN-RESOLVED] Crystal Reports Runtime Files

Manu thanks for the effort Randem! Tried Inno, but have no time to enter into a new learning curve... In my opinion: I prefer using PDW rather than Inno.
    Thanks anyway!
