Either I'm slow today, or you aren't making any sense.

Re: How to print screen using key board?
Open up paint first
Open up the other program
Print Screen
Alt+Tab to Paint
Paste

Yes, windowskey+d will also work - it will take you directly to your desktop where you can launch paint.
My monkey wearing the fedora points and laughs at you.

I believe WindowsKey + M will also minimize all windows and WindowsKey + shift + M to restore them

Same thing as WinKey + D... except it works both ways

Leave it to Microsoft to come up with completely redundant systems.

If those methods don't work then press Prntscreen and close your application.
Then you can open paint and paste it in even if your first program is closed.

With my new Tablet PC, I put the PC face down on the scanner and scan it.
(You have to make sure that the scanner window is not open at the time otherwise you get a recursion event and the entire universe collapses in on itself, but it's probably worth the risk rather than having to get Snaggit from some magazine cover disk...)

Every now and then I go wild and do Alt+PrScr, then Paste into wordpad!
Sometimes I even "Create PDF->From Clipboard Image"!
