Question Oracle Client Software - Needs install for each user?

I have a machine where one user can log in and access our Oracle db with no problem. Another user logs into the machine and he/she isn't able to access our Oracle db unless I install the client tools again. The computer is using Win XP and the Orcale DB is 8g. Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Regards,

    Mark

Thanks Gary, I was told, but I havn't confirmed it yet, but the User Profiles maybe locked down. Could this also be causing a problem?

Ok, the profile aren't locked down. We have to install the client software for each user when intially login to that particular machine.

Ahh, the plot thins, the IT person told me he installed the 8g client sw as the Domain Admin rather than the local admin. So he is going to uninstall it and then reinstall it as the local admin.

The client should be avail to anyone on the machine. As long as the path to Oracle/product/10g and Oracle/product/10g/bin is in the path of the user.
