Hi gurus

I Would like to know if some of you have embarq on trying to create a remote control application like( logmein,gotopc,gotoassist) on your own, what is the tech behind this, can some one point me in the right direction if done before or if with some kind of knowledge can I be route to where I can find more info on this subject.
