Dear god.

My company, is a Business-grade Wireless internet company. We supply extremely high-speed wireless internet to some big-name customers.

But...

Our company is also a rebrand of 4 companies created into 1. One of these companies.. had dialup customers.

I'm sick to death, of explaining the difference between The Internet, and Email, and sick of dealing with someone who doesn't know what a browser is.

Its much more fun when I'm dealing with someone who understands what an IP address is.. what a subnet means.. who understands that I mean a router when I say "Cisco", and not some 1-hit-wonder pop-star.

I had this very argument with my manager. Some people should only be allowed to use technology that their license allows. and NO provisionals!

This kind of work is not for a programmer. I get so sick of it in our environment as well.
We develop a product, and when support time comes, we are the ones who should answer all the questions.
