Accessing PC with 2K prof. on LAN
i want to access my PC which has windows 2000 professional installed on it,using remote desktop connection anywhere from LAN?I already have RD configured on my machine.

when i enter IP of my PC from other PC and try to connect it gives me message "The client could not connect to the remote desktop"

First, try to ping that IP address. If you can ping it, then RDC can see it. Then, go into that other PC to see if remote desktop connections are allowed on it.

And, while you are there, ping back to the other machine just to make sure both are seeing each other.

yes PC from where i have to access remote PC can ping to it.
But i am not sure i have to look for which service on remote PC......but one with name "Remote Access Connection Manager" is enables and running.
