Yes, its a pain to view the site on a mobile device.

On one of my phones the largest resolution using a full featured browser is 400x240. Not fun having to scroll sideways.

Does your device have a "lite" viewer for web content?

Just got a samung f700. It has full web support or smart fit. But its still a bit awkward to navigate. Better than most i suppose. Speed is fine 3.5g so thats not an issue!

I take it that smart fit is like Verizons "Optimized Web" where its all a hybrid textual version of the site?

So its the full browser support version where the site is too large to fit on the screen, correct?

Basicly what smart fit does is (dont ask me how!) juggle parts of the site around to make it fit to the screen in also decreases text size. For instance looking at this page. The internet.com bar is on top but much smaller, then the vb wire graphic (slightly pixelated, because its smaller) Then the forum nav bar (which looks squashed) as for the post themselve there not so bad. Basicly the pane to the left with the username is first followed by the post. This actually works quite well.

As for the full web browser support, its exactly like a desktop view so lots of sideways scrolling but looks exactly like the original. There is an added function here of decreasing the "Desktop" size. This basicly squashes the view via a slider. So basicly the more squashed the less scrolling. This works really well on text sites but brutal on graphic sites.

All in all im very impressed with the phone. Much better than the iphone with the same sort of features (much better in most cases). The iphone does not support hsdpa here in ireland, so in my eyes is a bad handset to use for mobile browsing. Also because this phone is approved by vodafone i get 10gb usage on my mobile for browsing for 9.99 euro!
