Microsoft Visual Studio Advert
Hi All
I'm a "quick surfer", so as soon as I can see a link on the forum that I'm looking for, I click it without waiting for the whole page to complete loading.
See the attached screenshot where, when I click on a link while this ad is shown specifically, IE hangs.
Also, I open multiple windows. (IE6) When I open too many at once that load simultaneously (I think it's around 12 windows) IE crashes with the standard MS error: "Send / Don't Send".
Do you guys reckon it is the ad, or just me being impatient?

But seriously either use FireFox or update to the most recent version of Internet Explorer. As for the real cause i can not say i often do exactly the same and thats with multiple tabs open and multiple windows (browsers) open and nothing of the sort happens to me.

Re: Microsoft Visual Studio Advert
The problem is that I cannot install IE7 (our Siebel implementation does not support it) nor Firefox. (Siebel supports it, but our web templates do not)
It's not consistent, so it's not too great a concern, though I get it around once a week...

Disable ActiveX or update your Flash player.

Re: Microsoft Visual Studio Advert
that many instances of IE, particularly with flash content running, is an awfully large demand on system resources. I would say that's the reason for the crash. Will they let you install an IE shell? You can install one that will use IE 6 DLLs, and use no more than five to 10 MB of resource with 12 tabs open, depending on what is running in those pages.
