    Hi,
which language do you already know - .Net supports VB.Net, C# and C++

Take a look a 'Mobile Development Handbook'

    Re: Books Needed

Go with the C# so that you can use the .NET Compact Framework.

Will this be database or non-database? I have seen a couple good books on each, but few of them really get into mobile dev specifically except Roof and Fergus "The Definitive Guide to the Compact Framework". I think that is mostly VB, and it is getting dated, since I think it was written back in the time of 2003, but it does cover lots of things and gives some good tips on mobile dev, though it also gives alot of tips that I found fairly obvious before I even touched a mobile device.

This forum is going to be biased towards C#. The choice should really be somewhat dependent upon the specific mobile devices you are targeting.

    nokias?
Symbian development is not currently supported by .Net

I seem to remember a 3rd part beta that supports them from .Net, but there is no native support

Dunno - never heard of it, but google tells me "The Microsoft Mobile Internet Toolkit contains server-side technology that enables ASP.NET to deliver content to a wide variety of mobile devices."
It also appears to be 5 years old.
