    Post Winsock APIs

    Anybody knows how to use the winsock control using APIs? I am sick of carrying that stupid ocx with my applications. Also this stupid ocx raises alarms with the windows XP security alerts and users get doubtful about my apps.
    Anybody has a solution to this?

    The only "XP security alerts" I can think of might be warnings from Windows Firewall. You won't be getting around those by spending the time to get the API calls working for you.

    One can only wonder what you're going to do about all of the other "stupid OCXs" your program may need.
