    Resolved The best windows installer software that is free

    Hello,
    I am looking for a windows installer software package. I already know about INNO, and NSIS. I was just wonder however, if there is better software like these?

    Depends on your view of better and you use. InstaShield and Wise are two that I know of that are very powerful but not too easy to work with. Most of the popular installers are popular bevcause of ease of use and features. We have links to some in the Application Deployment FAQ thread.

    InstallShield and Wise are definately not free.

    In fact, "free" and "good" rarely go together. One of the exceptions to this is INNO which is about the best, free, installer that I've encountered.

    He didnt mention if he wanted paid or free only installers. Perhaps he can clarify.
