Did I miss it?
Who won the coding contest? Supposedly, it was supposed to be have graded on the 9th and since there are only 3 entries and I haven't seen the results yet, I'm either oblivious to where the results have been posted or they haven't been yet.
Anyone else wondering this?

Re: Did I miss it?
A single winner in a competion results in resentment of the winner, and degredation of a non-winners individuals self worth.
Hence I believe all of you should recieve the prize for having participated.

Re: Did I miss it?
i don't think that's fair. That's like giving "participation" ribbons to retarded kids for validation. It just is plain wrong in every sense of the world. For one thing, it is not realistic to expect every entry in a contest should win. If that was so, i would play the lottery. But in this case, i actually do have a decent chance of winning, thanks to my odd programming style. So if we all get "participation ribbons" who knows WHAT might end up happening as a result

Re: Did I miss it?
what kind of game is a calculator?
You COULD have written a snake-style game, but you didn't. I did, in directx7 with a dynamically resizable window that you can actually change while playing. It's a centipede-themed game complete with falling tick and maniacal spider at levels 3 and above. If you can make it to level 6, you deserve any award you get. I wrote the dang game and haven't made it past 5. The spider is too evil.
And i suppose you have something against snake-style games? Or did you not actually try the game and see that you are also avoiding obstacles such at the spider?

When the hell did your snake game come into this thread?

Yes holier than thou, opposed to your original post prompting my response.

Re: Did I miss it?
are you calling me God?
If you are referring to my name, my last name actually is Lord. I didn't pick it for some kind ego trip. And um, my original post?
they changed the grading date. The results should be in by "this" weekend.

Re: Did I miss it?
I'll write a snake game based on the world of a calculator. Do do any math, you must eat the correct button. It'll be incredibly frustrating.

No I am not referring to your name, but perhaps you didn't fully comprehend my meaning in the above. Only one of your posts prompted a response from me directly to you.

That was (like i said) the post that elicited my response. I had not mentioned my game but foxer decided to make a jab at me by mocking my game.

timeshifter, if you actually made the game you said, Mensa would probably publish it for you.

Snake on a calculator? I'd probably shoot myself, not because of any particular difficulty, but because of how frustrating it'd be when it's done...

Sorry Lord - no jab at you. There is another legendary snake game that floated around chit-chat that had spy-ware embedded - it was that effort and the hilarities that followed when it was discovered that I was refering to.
