Email using CDO without giving user authentication (CdoSendUsing.cdoSendUsingPickup)
Code:
Dim Cdo2Configuration As CDO.Configuration
Dim Cdo2Message As CDO.Message
Dim Cdo2Fields
Set Cdo2Configuration = New CDO.Configuration
Set Cdo2Message = New CDO.Message
Set Cdo2Message.Configuration = Cdo2Configuration
Set Cdo2Fields = Cdo2Configuration.Fields
With Cdo2Fields
.Item(cdoSMTPServer)= "smtp.server.name"
.Item(cdoSendUsingMethod) = CdoSendUsing.cdoSendUsingPickup
End With
Cdo2Message.Subject = "Subject"
Cdo2Message.TextBody = "Body"
Cdo2Message.AddAttachment (sFileName)
Cdo2Message.Sender = " email@removed "
Cdo2Message.From = "XXX"
Cdo2Message.To = " email@removed "
Cdo2Message.Send
Set Cdo2Message = Nothing
Set Cdo2Configuration = Nothing
Set Cdo2Fields = Nothing
the above code worked fine in the development server, but it is not working in the Production server. the error says "The pickup directory path is required and was not specified."
please let me know what is wrong? i have to move it by today EOD.

Re: Email using CDO without giving user authentication (CdoSendUsing.cdoSendUsingPickup)
It may be because the sender does not have an Exchange account?
Also, where are you specifying the pickup directory?
