The only trouble is during the quiet times everyone posts questions, but hardly any answers get posted.

    Well ...

I am accessing the forums from a proxy, a 56K modem and don't think it's slow at all. Even from home without a proxy and 56K modem, it loads without any problems. The only hitch is the Server Busy screen which pops up sometimes when I try to open 5-6 threads in different windows, all at almost the same time.

Change is the only constant thing. I have not changed my signature in a long while and now it has started to stink!

And if that response was mine, please think about giving me a rep. I like to collect them!

It doesn't save that much time. I type at 110 WPM, but even at 50 WPM it doesn't save very much time. By the way, for most people, it takes more time to strike the "2" key than to type out "to". And if you are an efficient enough typer to be able to strike the "2" key without looking or hesitating, there's really no use in using that, because you can type "to" pretty quickly....

Of course he's right! He's always right.

And if programmers are lazy, that's only because they have to concentrate at other times on typing code EXACTLY right. VB may let you get away with things, but C++ will kick you into the next timezone for a one character error
