Ok i'm very new with VB, only used it for 2 days. And i'm trying to find out how to do this:
The user puts the data into the program
and the program puts the data into a text file for the user to see. Like this is what it is exactly:
Counter-Strike Server Config.
have like Timelimit, Buytime, friendlyfire etc.
the user picks yes /no or enters the number. After its done it will make the server.cfg file.
But what code is that?

a good book might help....
hey,
there isn't exactly code that will say "build me a counter-strike config".
what you might want to do is:
1) get a good vb book. SAMS puts out some excellent books to help u get on your way.
2) to start, construct your form first. put all the controls on there that you'll need to do what you want your program to do.
3) look into File Input/Output. you can look that up in the VB Help.
if you have specific questions, i'm sure the fellas here and myself would be more than glad to help you out. hope that helps.

2 Days at VB and already you're trying to do File I/Os? Hell I didn't know how to do that til about two or three months. I read one chapter of a VB book and did all the other stuff by trial and error, probably why that makes me such an inefficient programmer, but hey, everything still works for me!
