    Resolved [RESOLVED] CR Reports Problem

OK I'm back on my ragging of CR.

    Here is my issue.

I had CR 11 Release 1 on my system (Windows XP SP2 fully patched, VS 2005 SP1) and updated to CR 11 Release 2 (recomeded by CR if running VS 2005). All was working great for me. I could place the CR Viewer on a form and display reports on my system. Now I can still do that on my older projects (created before the install of CR 11 R2) but new projects throw an error when you go to open the CR Viewer form. The viewer goes on the form with out issues. The code to display the report in in viewer and the code to send the report directly to the printer all complie with out errors.

Any system I deploy the new application on the Report will view fine and output to the printer with out issues. On my system I get an error thrown when the form tries to load. The error is

An error occurred creating the form. See Exception.InnerException for details. The error is: The type initializer for 'CrystalDecisions.ReportSource.ReportSourceFactory' threw an exception.

Full error data avail if needed.

On the output to printer code the error is:

The type initializer for 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument' threw an exception.

Any idea (beside placeing the ~@#@!#@#~%%** CR developers in front of a firing squad) to help me out here?

    Re: CR Reports Problem

Since no seems to have a clue on this one I think I'll just close it and figure it is just the marvelous support CR gives it uses and is a new undocumneted feature or CR XI Release 2.

Long live the people who wrote the CR application.
