    Forum Problem

    Good Morning,

I not sure what exactly is going on yet but if I have VBForums open in an IE window and put it to the back for a couple of minutes while reading a different page or work on my project and come back that IE window has completly crashed and will not come back, it has happened to me over 5 times today in the matter of about an hour. It doesn't happen on any other website or any other programs my processor and memory are fine I am not using tabs so I am not 100% sure yet but its beginning to become a bit of a pain so I thought I would just you know encase you have made a change or something. I am on the VB.Net section of the Forum. Here is my Spec:

    Windows Vista Home Premium
IE 7.0 (not using tabs when it goes wrong not tried with tabs)
    Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz
    1GB Ram
No Anti-Virus or Firewall running at moment as it was bugging me with my programming lol.

    Other Programs running:
    VB.Net Pro Beta 2
    1 Explorer window open
2 or 3 IE windows open
Skype running in system tray and
Free download manager in system tray.

Average Processor usage both when IE is working and when its crashed: 20-30%

Average memory usage: 700-800MB (70%) because of SuperFetch

I will play a bit more and If I can find a certain cause or something I will let you know.

You might want to note what Ad may be showing and if its on a particular page. The Flash plugin was giving me crash issues before until they fixed it I guess as I updated it to the 9.0d version.

The lastest version of Flash ocx is only upgradeable if you manually request it on the adobe site where you usually would download the ocx. Otherwise it will retain your version at 9.0c

    Re: Forum Problem

Try disabling ActiveX in IE, temporarily. See if the issue persists, and let us know. Thanks

    Re: Forum Problem

In IE7 you can explicitly disable the Flash addon. That may fix it temporarily but then you will miss out on using/viewing flash objects/video in your browser.
