CR9.2 on Vista makes my VB6 hangs

Dear All,

I install CR9.2 on Windows Vista Basic,
The standalone application works fine, but the report designer component hangs in vb6.

I tried everything. But no way, when you try to insert a report in vb6, the first dialog is shown, letting you choose as usual between a wizard, a blank report or an existing one.

Then the second dialog is shown, asking if you want a viewer form.
After closing this dialog, vb hangs.

I hope that somebody knows how to fix this.

please help

Are you running it as Administrator?

yes, any idea? or CR 9.2 does not support Vista especially in VB6 IDE?

Do you have the UAC on or off? If its on then try turning it off as it may help as it wont need to prompt you for acceptance first.

Yes, I have turned off the UAC .. but still have problem..

Hmm, maybe a search over at the cr site may be due. I havent come across this before. I dont have 9.2 so no way for me to duplicate the issue.
