    Enable/Disable Icons

What do you think Enable and Disable icons should look like?

    Re: Enable/Disable Icons

do you think that enable/disable have any common design associated with them though?
e.g. print preview is often a magnifying glass

    Re: Enable/Disable Icons

Disabled should always be a greyscale of the original enabled image.

Are you wanting to duplicate the windows standards for their toolbars?

    Re: Enable/Disable Icons

I have several tabs in my application and I want to enable and disable certain ones.
I was really asking if there was a standard image for disable or enable, maybe a padlock or something?

    I don't believe there's a standard.

    Take your pick.

Maybe the key, or one of the locks?

Nope, not for the tabs, unless you also have an image in the tab? If so then I would still say a greyscale version of the image.
