    I have plans to make a drop down listview some time when I get the time though..

    yep

    Well, it IS an ActiveX control, but is there a way to do it so the user doesnt get that annoying message that says "you are about to download an ActiveX control, bla, bla, bla..." ???

    The only way is to change the security options in their IE Options to alwys allow active x. there is no other way

    Since when is ASPToday a pay site? Cripes, I really don't want to pay $50 to see if the article is what I need.

    And you're right, there are tons of free resources so why pay?

    Although I am no genious at ASP, you will find that 90-100% of any Windows type setting in the Registry.

    If you are capable of using an API to change a Registry Entry, or you are able to write your own ActiveX DLL, OCX or EXE which can be run from a Web Server then I imagine that you'd be in!

    The way to find what registry entry(s) you are looking for is to download a Registry Tracer or other such product and take a snapshot of your registry before and after - easy!

    Why do you think they're unprofessional? Surely the fact that they're safer and run on more platforms shows how professional they are?
    Yeah, you can have unprofessional applets, but you can have unprofessional ActiveX controls, as well.
