Crystal Report displays weird characters on Dell Laptop but works fine on desktop PC
Hi Guys,
My crystalreportviewer works fine on all desktop pc's I have installed my software on. But on a clients Dell Laptop all the text just appears as weird characters.
Someone please provide me with a solution.

Check the font used..... make sure the font is also on the client's.

Hi techgnome,
Thanks for the reply. I will check that. But I assumed all windows comes with the Arial Font installed.

Hi again,
Unfortunately, the client does have the Arial font. I have no idea what the problem is.

Is this the only laptop with this issue or do you see it on other laptops as well?

I would try uninstalling the crystal report viewer on the laptop and reinstalling. Are you using the standard viewer that came in visual studio 2005 in a form? or some other kind of viewer?
(I am pretty new to CR, so don't flame me if that's a stupid question, lol)

Hi Hack, I haven't tried other laptops. But on the 4 desktop P.C's it works just fine.
I tried re-installing Crystal the same day but that didn't work.
