Unable to add Crystal Decision reference
Hi,
I've installed CR XI but when I create a project and try to add reference of the Crystal reports I do not see any of the DLLs in .Net tab.
Any ideas?
THanks.

Do you want to add a reference to Crystal Reports inside your .net project? Or do you want to add a report to be accessed by the Crystal viewer?

What version of VB are you using?

I want to add a reference to Crystal Reports. The issue is that I am unable to even see the Crystal Viewer in the toolbox and hence can't use it. If I add the CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms dll manually onto the Toolbox explorer (dragged and dropped the DLL to create it) I get a "PInvoke" exception. If "Continue" is pressed on the exception thrown it goes ahead and shows the report viewer. But I'm sure this is not the way to go ahead.
Hope I'm clear. Thanks.

Re: Unable to add Crystal Decision reference
Finally the whole issue turned out to be installation issue. We followed the following steps to resolve the issue:
a.) Assigned Admin rights to the developer who was going to work on the machine.
b.) The developer then un-installed the installed version of Crystal report.
c.) The developer then re-started the PC.
d.) The developer then installed the Crystal report again.
These steps worked out for us but the issue seems to be very sporadic.

Does this mean it is resolved, or does it still occasionally recur?
