[2005] [2008] - The ZipProject
Hi!
I have been thinking about this and have decided to try and go for it.
I have started on a large project to make an Archiver in VB.NET 2005 & 2008. I have started on a smaller one called FastZip and it currently supports:
Zip file management:
Creating Zip archives
Opening Zip Archives
Compression
Viewing and creation of Comments
Rar Archive management:
Opening RAR Archives
Extracting Files from a RAR Archive
Viewing File Comments
However I intend a program to support many file types. The current zip management Library is ComponentOne Zip, and UnRAR for RAR management.
If you want to help and have any Ideas post them here!!!

I have also decided to get some ideas from CodeProject. I have found an article on LZW1 Compression for VB.
