    VB6 Compatibility Issues with Vista?

    Hey guys,

    I ran into this problem: I just got a new laptop with windows vista installed. My old system was running on XP. So after I installed VB 6 on my new laptop (vista) and imported all my projects over, whenever I tried to open any of the projects this "Compatibility Issue" error jumps out.

    Is VB6 not compatible with Vista? That's what I'm trying to know. Thanks for all the help guys!

    Hack's signature had some tips on vb vs vista compatibility issues.

    VB6 for this most part is compatible, but their are known issues.

    Have you considered moving to VB.NET?

    VB 6 is compatible and supported on Vista. If you install it correctly there is no problem.

    Run it as Administrator is the most common task being forgotten.

    Installing it in a non default folder would solve most issues...
