[RESOLVED] Dynamic Parameter
I am using crystal reports XI with vb 6.0 and have a couple of questions. The report I am trying to run through a vb 6.0 interface has dynamic paramters.
1) When i install the stand alone program on a machine without crystal reports, First I get an error saying that the document could not be opened. Then I hit ok and i get another error saying Invalid TLV record. I did some investigating on-line and couldn't really find a solution. I tried a number of things which have not seemed to work. Any ideas?
2) How can/do dynamic parameters in crystal XI function with VB? Do I have to do any special coding from VB in regards to the parameters, or will they just run off of the report?
Thank you for any help!

Re: Dynamic Parameter
I'm not sure what "create a setup" is supposed to mean. Please clarify.

Re: Dynamic Parameter
Use the Application Setup Wizard, browse your project. Check Rebuild Project and leave the create a setup program checked. Click next. When the process is over you will have a setup.exe in your selected directory and all the required dlls , don't forget to include all your reports you have.

Re: Dynamic Parameter
I have already created an application and installed it. VB is obviously not including all of the dll's that are needed. This is why I need help.

Re: [RESOLVED] Dynamic Parameter
The merge modules come from Crystal Reports not VB. You use the Visual Installer and add the crystal merger modules to the project. It works fine with VB 6.0.

Re: [RESOLVED] Dynamic Parameter
I think they are under C:\Program Files\Common Files\Merge Modules. If you don't have them, you can download them from the business objects web site.
