    Hello thanks for reading my letter i'm studying my second year in Systems Engenieer and i gota do a proyect to pass the anual test and this is the idea

    WHEN I TOOK THE PHONE AND I'M GONE TO MAKE A CALL I WANT A PROGRAM THAT COUNT THE SECCONDS OF MY CALL.

    how do i listen the Modem or i have tu put a external Modem and listen de com2 port???

    CAN ANY ONE HELP ME OR GUIDE ME??? IS THERE A BOOK WHERE I CAN FIND THIS INFORMATION ???

    Microsoft has a control named MS Comm Control. You can exchange data with the serial communication ports with it.


    Maybe it helps you a little...

    It basically juz a call billing application. but with the modem alone, I'm not sure whether you can detect the OnHook and OffHook status of the phone. Normally, we go for the extra hardware to support this feature.

    Again, you may encounter problem in determine when is the conversation start (Most difficult part, unless you're using ISDN, any others digital line).

    So, or later you'll cry for the rate table for Local, STD and IDD or even DISA & blah.. blah.. blah....
