Hi guys,

Hope I'm posting this question in the correct forum on this site. If not, I'll happily move this post. The question I've posed is pretty-self explanatory but I'll give you some background on what I'm asking.

I work for a large Mutual Funds Administrator and one of the responsibilities of my team is to oversee the periodic (quarterly) generation and delivery of a voluminous amount of PDF and Excel reports that contain Broker/Dealer commission information (ie: a dealer places a trade, they receive a commission based on the size of the transaction/length of time they've been trading). We produce these by using a series of MS Access databases. We import information taken from flat text files (delivered by an external organisation) into these databases and then output the reports. The process is further complicated by the fact that we need to maintain and update the contents of several tables in these databases that contain dealer commission rate values that will change from quarter to quarter. The whole process is open to error and we often need to regenerate these reports several times in order to meet the required values.

Are there any of you who have had experience with similar processes and can you tell me if there are any applications (other than MS Access) out there that would improve this process or make it easier for our team?

If you've any questions, please post them here or feel free to PM me.

Thanks,

Bob
