Re: Dissapointed in Vb
My advice is never give up. Winston Churchill said, "Never, never, never give up." Actually just one never is sufficient. If you're interested in a text I always recommend Visual Basic.Net Step by Step for 2003 or Visual Basic 2005 Step by Step both by Michael Halvorson. They come with a cd that has working programs or just take any good text and stick with it. Don't feel that you have to go through a text cover to cover though. Keep trying to make some simple programs of your own that work. You can always return to them for reference. Just try to solve one little problem at a time and then the next little problem and keep on going and going. If you don't like problem solving then computer programming is not for you. If you like bathing in an ocean of never ending ever new problems for eternity then programming is where it's at. Learn to enjoy problem solving and then you can enjoy programming and life since they are both chock full of problems.
Make as many mistakes as you can as quickly as you can. We want to make sure that we make a great enough number of mistakes in a given amount of time so that we can be successful.
