disabling PDF web browser in Adobe Reader
Hi. Is there a way to change the preferences in Adobe Reader 7 or 8 using VBscript?
Specifically, I want to go to Edit > Preferences > Internet > and UNcheck 'Display PDF in browser'
Any weblinks or snippets of code (even incomplete) will be helpful. Thanks.

Re: changing Adobe Reader preferences with VBScript
is this standalone VBscript, or from ASP?
Wont be possible in ASP either way, at least not in a public web app.
Anyway, found some reg settings on google etc but basically it is different among the versions, so you would need to know the version you want to edit.

Thanks. I'm using standalone VBScript.
Do you know the URLs where you found the regedit info?

Re: changing Adobe Reader preferences with VBScript
I don't want to manually do this. I want to script it so I can push the change to several computers, but I need to know where to go to make the change.
I've tried the tips here, but they did not work:

Also, it looks like it may be more than just a registry tweak because some Adobe dlls are invoked in IE.
Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Yeah I found things for other versions like Acrobat 7 etc, and Acrobat Reader 5 etc .. but when you do make the registry changes it doesnt work unless you run the update .. this is an Adobe forum I was also looking at for info, maybe you can look through that further and see if it has been posted there before.
