vb6 vs. vb.net
hello,
can someone explain to me the major differences between vb6 and vb.net?
vb6 applications cant be used on mobile devices right?
i need to highlight differences in terms on the platforms that it supports.

Big changes introduced in .NET: polymorphism, inheritance and encapsulation (PIE), operation overloading, parameterized constructors, class-level attributes and operations.
And yes - as far as i know, VB6 can't be used on mobile devices.

There is a version of pre-.NET Visual Basic for mobile devices.. its just really crap.
@gavio: operator overloading And wow does it seem strange to see that in a BASIC language

Discussed ad nauseum actually. There are bundles of threads on this topic. As Pino said, do a search and you will have enough reading material for an entire winter's evening.

That might not be a bad idea, but exactly what it would contain would need to be discussed. The threads on this subject do tend to ebb and flow to and away from the original topic.

Easy. Just compile a list of all the significant differences between VB6 and .NET—there are lots, so that shouldn't be hard—and summarise the main arguments for VB6 and for VB.NET. We can also link to some of the more presentable 'debates' (if such things exist).
