    Resolved [RESOLVED] Accept/Reject Donations for successfull answers

    What vbf members want to do when they got a pm and saying "You really helped me to solve my issue, i want to pay you. How can i ?"

    I don't quite understand what your asking? Are you asking for a donation system where the user can pay you if he feels you are deserving of it? I don't think such a system is available and it wouldn't be very good. If problems occurred there could be a possibilty that vbforums could be held accountable. It would be best suited if this was done via PayPal on the user(s) own accord.

    We can't allow requests for or offers of payment for answers. Sorry.

    There are other sites on the net where this would be more appropriate.

    Any advice or assistance given via this site should always be free of any charge.

    What you can do, in the case of new members, is point them towards the reputation system.

    They should not accept this. Moreover, the person receiving the PM should tell the person sending this PM that this is not permitted, but thank you for the kind thought.

    Unless there is prior approval from the admins (which isn't likely to happen), then payments for providing answers is not appropriate or allowed. A person accepting payment for an answer could be banned from the board due to the fact that we've said this is not appropriate.

    As such, if you are accepting a payment, best to make sure no word of it makes it to the mods or admins....

    I'm okay with redirecting someone to the rep system if they ask about making a payment.
