SQL Server 2005 Express Edition with .NET Framework 1.0

Hi all. I am using Microsoft Visual Basic .Net 2002 with .NET Framework 1.0. I want to install free SQL Server database.

I want to install SQL Server 2005 Express Edition but it requires .NET Framework 2.0. If I installed MSDE 2000, it doesnt have that Enterprise Manager.

So, how is this possible for me to use the free SQL Server with that Enterprise Manager along with the .Net Framework 1.0 ?

    Thanks in advance.

If it requires 2.0, then you aren't going to be able to use it with 1.0

If you could use it with 1.0, then 2.0 would not be a requirement.

Having said that, why don't you install Framework 2.0?

You can get it from here

.Net 1.0 and .Net 2.0 can live side by side without causing any problems.
Nothing bad will happen if you install it and SQL Server 2005 Express.
