[RESOLVED] Please urgent help (Windows error)

Hi,
This is not related to VB, but I'd really appreciate if someone can help me out here. (I haven't slept in over 30 hours now trying to fix this, but no luck.)
I connect to internet using "Local Area Network". Yesterday somehow IP of my webserver got blocked somewhere in windows. Now if I try to open my sites (ftp,http,mail) all I get a "Internet explorer page not found" message.
I have already formatted my PC and reinstalled windows, lan drivers etc but I get the same error.
It's like windows is "rejecting" all requests sent to that IP of my server.

Please tell me where can I find this entries and how to fix them.

The sites are opening on other computers in the same LAN network, and computers outside that network as well.
It's just not showing up on my PC.

Are you using a router? If so, try resetting it. Always helps me.

Hi,
I can see all websites except those hosted on that "server" IP. (I can see and use normally "this" website, but I cannot load any website on my "webhost" server)
It is my home PC, running a LAN connection. How do I reset the router?
(I have already reinstalled windows completely, along with all other drivers etc.)

One quite dramatic way is to look for a little button that only a drawing pin can press on. Then get a drawing pin and press on it and leave it for 3 seconds and then let go and wait for it to clear itself up.

A less dramatic way (but long winded) is to:

1. Press [WinKey]+[R]
2. Type

cmd /k ipconfig /all

3. Where it says "Default Gateway: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX" where X is any number, note down this number.
4. Enter it into your browser window (e.g. Internet Explorer)
5. Look for any sign of Router settings and click on it
6. Look for anything to do with reset router and follow the onscreen instructions.

Hi,
I used the "less dramatic" way and found my gateway.
This is the same IP I entered when I configured Windows "my network places" to enable internet connection and LAN.
This IP (http://xx.xx.xx.xx is my browser home page...
It is where we all login to start browsing.
There's nothing like router settings here.

My computer has a LAN card, installed using a driver. This LAN card is fixed inside the CPU box along with hard disk etc. A thin wire can be "plugged" in this LAN card device. I don't see any button in this plug.

Is there an alternate way of rebooting/resetting this connection/router?

So, you have it working, but are wondering if there is an easier way than what you did, is that the question?

No, it's still not working.
I can open all websites, except the ones hosted on a certain IP address.
It's like windows is rejecting all requests sent to that IP.
Not sure what's going on...

This is solved.
I configured my system to use a different IP for my PC. Then opened the websites using this connection. Restarted PC, configured back to same old IP.
Works ok now.
