    when i retrieve access an object, in fact the same object, when i copymemory the pointer from a long i earlier stored by copying the pointer. The same object still exists, it's just that vb crashes the second time, but not the first.

    anything similar occcured to you?

    writing software in C++ is like driving rivets into steel beam with a toothpick.
    writing haskell makes your life easier:
    reverse (p (6*9)) where p x|x==0=""|True=chr (48+z): p y where (y,z)=divMod x 13
    To throw away OOP for low level languages is myopia, to keep OOP is hyperopia. To throw away OOP for a high level language is insight.

    btw, happens to be a public non creatable activex object, and from what i know their references are a bit different, i managed to emulate the crashing, but it didn't crash immediately, just when i closed the app.
