where to go?

Hi I am not sure if this is the place to ask such a question. I am newbie to ASP (4 months) basically know how to set up databases and select edit and update and display info.
My question is what should i learn next to land a job.
Would anyone advise getting and learning Visual Basic 6.0 I'm not sure really what this does, is it necessary to have if I want to learn COM.

I think it depends on your likes and dislikes, granted, the more you know, the easier it is to find that job. If you like the web application work, learn javascript, DHTML,etc. If you've been doing ASP for about 4 months, I think you'll find it's not too difficult to get the basics of Visual Basic. I know a lot of programmers that have experience in several areas, but they are in positions that they only do one thing, i.e., write COM components for large applications, build websites, write VB applications. The decision is up to you completely. Look at what's out there, decide what you want to do, and follow that path.
