laptop wont power up at all, very strange
I have an EI SYSTEMS 4411 laptop which wont power up, when i plug the charger in the laptop, the power light on the charger goes off. Has anybody had this problem before or know any ideas, it happened about 3hrs after charging a brand new battery.
thanks in advance,

Heard it first time, strange. Only thing that I know about power jack is, people put improper tools to clean holes and then stuck there. Result is pins/holes are bend and unable to use it next time.

Bent pins are more common then they should be, that is for sure, but I don't believe I've ever heard of one "blowing up".

the laptops about 2 yr old also i found that its caused by lose soilder around the jack pin. If its moved to much it shorts, mine has burnt the board and the metal plate.
i found this page on the net about repairing it here
Is it true that motherboards are multilayered, because i dont think ill be able to fix its burn the inside of the board.
