    Resolved [RESOLVED] vs 2005 ide

    Hi Everyone

I'd been using visual web developer and just switched to vs 2005 standard.

VS has the annoying habit of changing the layout of the html I write when I switch from design to source.

For example, I add white space so a <ul> list is easy to read, but the ide takes it right back out.

Is there a setting I in options I'm missing to stop this incredibly irritating behavior?

    Thanks

** Sorry, figured it out. (I was having front page flashbacks) - never had it happen in vwd. Had to right click in source view and make a special rule for <li> tags.

I've not had this problem. None of my formatting was ever removed. What special rule are you referring to?

    Mendhak

I thought this wasn't suppose to happen either in vs2005

Right click in source view | select formatting and validation
From the tree view | select html | select format
    click 'tag specific options'
    expand 'client html tags'
    select 'li'
specify 'line breaks' from the dropdown.
